Madonna Ability Alliance

A nonprofit organization

Our Story

Founded in 1960 by Sr. Mary Evangeline Randolph, a Sister of Mercy, Madonna began as a school dedicated to serving children with special needs at a time when very few resources were available in Omaha. Over the years, our mission grew alongside the needs of our community, and now includes PK-12 Education, Young Adult Program, Project SEARCH, and a full suite of Adult Services.

In 2025, we became Madonna Ability Alliance, reflecting our expanded scope of services from school through adulthood, and in celebration of moving into our new home campus in Omaha’s Aksarben Village. Today, we proudly serve hundreds of children, young adults, and adults each year, continuing the legacy of faith, service, and innovation that began more than 65 years ago.

Our Mission

Founded on the Christian principle of the dignity of the human person, Madonna's mission is to serve students and adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Autism (ASD), and Other Health Impairments (OHIs) and provide them with a foundation to achieve their full potential at school, work, home and in the community.

Our Vision

Our vision is for all people with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Autism (ASD), and Other Health Impairments (OHIs) to maximize their God-given potential and thrive as fully included members of the communities in which they learn, work and live.
