Who We Are

The Military Council of Catholic Women connects, unites, and inspires U.S. military-affiliated women to grow in their faith. As the women's ministry of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), MCCW provides a unique network for Catholic military women.

Our growing, global ministry has nearly 2500 active participants and is run entirely through the efforts of a vibrant volunteer team. We currently have approximately 80 active communities at military chapels.

During our two-year programming cycle, MCCW provides faith formation and leader development resources to small groups at military chapels. We host spiritual retreats in seven geographic regions that draw in 100's of participants. Five retreats take place in the United States, and we host two international retreats, one for military personnel and family members stationed in Europe, and the other for our members in Asia.

Our largest event is the MCCW Forum, which is four-day conference in the United States that draws in women and AMS clergy from around the world. At this event, participants hear from the highest quality speakers, participate in liturgies celebrated by the Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, and unite with other military-affiliated women. The 2026 MCCW Forum, to be held in our nation's capital at the Catholic University of America, is focused on Living Fully in the Armor of God, Ephessians 6:13. Our goal is to ensure the US Military affiliated women are "Mission Ready!" 

In addition to in-person programming, MCCW hosts webinars, days of reflection, and mini-retreats through our website and social media to help women in this global Archdiocese to grow in faith and friendship.
