Notre Dame Catholic Church Greeneville TN

Building a Community in Faith... We at Notre Dame Catholic Church are a mission parish in the northeastern part of Tennessee, belonging to the Diocese of Knoxville. Our church was build in 1955 and seats 160 for Sunday worship. Currently, the little town of Greeneville has seen a tremdous growth from people moving in from other parts of the country for retirement or just to enjoy the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains. The church built for 160 people cannot hold the current percentage of Catholic population of 565 families, so we are in urgent need of expanding our facility to accomodate the growth in our region. A feasability study was conducted for the proposal of a new church, however the funds rasied will not reach the total expense of the new construction. We are projected to raise 1/3 or $1,500,000 and the new church will cost approximately $3,500,000 and will increase the seating by 350 people, thus doubling the size. We are earnestly seeking assistance from generous donors to help build a new church in this area, as we work for our motto of Building the Kingdom of God in East Tennessee to spread the Gospel message in and around us.
