Our Lady of Prompt Succor (Golden Meadow)

Over the last several years of our #igivecatholic campaigns we as a parish have accomplished all of our goals.  When assessing the greatest need for our parish this year we arrived at a consensus of installing a generator for our rectory, office and church.  We took into consideration that our parish serves as a base for the National Guard and, therefore, serves as a major distribution center for food and supplies to the entire south Lafourche area.  We also took into consideration that our parish priest must return to the parish as soon as residents are allowed so that the Blessed Sacrament is not left alone.  The third consideration was our ability to gather as a parish family to celebrate Mass, something we all need as we deal with the challenges a natural disaster brings to so many.

When determining a monetary amount for our goal it quickly became clear the amount needed would far exceed our past campaigns.  We are aware that this may well need to be a multi-year campaign with different components of the project being completed each year.  But acknowledging that we do not know what blessings God has in store for us we have decided to share the total cost of the entire project which is around $50,000.00.

Who We Are

We’ve emptied our pews to keep our parishioners safe, but our church parishes are still in need of your help!

We humbly and prayerfully ask, if your family is able to, to consider continuing your donations to your church parish during these uncertain times.

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to upgrade our phone, IT systems, and audio/visual systems.

The phone system in the Rectory needs to be upgraded to an IP Phone system to give more functionality, easier maintenance, and cheaper long term operating costs. Along with the phone upgrades, the wifi network needs to be improved to better cover the Rectory, Church, and LaSalette Center. The computer and display screens in the church needs to better support the mass and to share diocese communications.

2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone due to the Pandemic and multiple hurricanes. Take care of yourselves and your family first, and if you still are able to share your blessings, we pray for your support in our church improvements.
