As we enter into the season of Advent and reflect on God's blessings, we want to invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of generosity on this global Giving Tuesday (iGiveCatholic). iGiveCatholic is a wonderful opportunity to focus on acts of kindness and to make a lasting difference. At Our Lady of Tahoe, we've seen firsthand the power of your generosity through various initiatives here at our church. 

This year, we are raising capital for our building fund in order to focus our efforts on performing several repairs and upgrades. Because of your support, last year we were able to raise almost $13,000 to replace the front doors of the church. PLEASE NOTE, we are still in the process of securing a contractor for this job and hope to have it completed next spring (2026). The approximate cost of replacing the front doors is $20,000. Also, a rebuild and enlargement of the front porch was initiated, however it is now stalled due to issues with TRPA. We are working diligently with them to be able to resolve this issue. The old light fixtures in the church and hall were replaced this year and we paid $1,300 and we also recently had several dead, diseased, and/or dying trees removed as well as others limbed in the church parking lot. This cost the church $8,200. We are also repairing the rear emergency exit door off of the upstairs library, removing old paint from the stairway, and replacing damaged wood where necessary. The cost of materials for this is $750. Labor has been graciously provided by volunteer parishioners. The upstairs offices are being refreshed including replacing the original carpet, replacement of all electrical outlets and switches, baseboards, and eventually, the light fixtures. All rooms have been repainted. The approximate cost for these upgrades is $5,000, again with most of the labor provided by volunteer parishioners. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us maintain our infrastructure by implementing timely repairs and preventing small problems from escalating into major ones, serve our local community by providing essential resources, and foster spiritual growth where genuine connections are cultivated.
