About Us

Established in 1956, Our Lady Queen of Peace has always been strong with deep roots and tradition. For 66 years, Our Lady Queen of Peace has exemplified the church in the way it has ministered and responded to the needs of Wichita Falls.

Our Lady Queen of Peace began as a mission of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 1954 with Mass first celebrated in the parochial school gymnasium. On April 6, 1956, Our Lady Queen of Peace was established as a parish in the Diocese of Fort Worth. 

Our Mission

Our Lady Queen of Peace is a welcoming and diverse family of faith, living the sacraments (God’s gifts to us) and proclaiming the Gospel through scripture and tradition, so that we may grow in holiness and love to serve one another. Our mission is to nurture a close personal relationship with our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, through word, prayer, and example, centered in the Eucharist.

The Project

This is OLQP’s fourth year to participate in #iGiveCatholic. This year we are setting the goal at $10K. The monies raised will be used in to update several Religious Education classrooms that are located in the Religious Education Building. Your support is vital to help us to evangelize, not only to our children/youth but our community as a whole. We are counting on you to help us achieve this goal! Our #iGiveCatholic goal of $10,000 will pave the way to spreading God's word!
