Communications and Publications Drive

A nonprofit organization

The mission of our communications office is to spread the good news: both the good news of the great things that are happening in our diocese, but also the good news of Jesus Christ.

We do this through our beloved publications: faith and The Register, our From the Heart podcast featuring the Three Bald Guys, our diocesan website that promotes both diocesan and parish news and our various social media platforms.

We need your help. Can you help us spread the good news across the four corners of our diocese? Every gift makes a difference. Thank you for your generosity.

Who We Are

The Register is the official award-winning newspaper of the Salina Diocese. It is published on 4th Friday of every month. Nov. 15, 1937, was the very first issue of The Register. The paper has served the diocese under several editors, including Msgr. Raymond Menard, who served as the editor of the paper for nearly six decades.

In 2020, FAITH Magazine was added on a quarterly basis to The Register's publication schedule. FAITH is an evangelization focused magazine that features local stories from the people of our diocese.

Both The Register and FAITH Magazine are delivered free of charge to every registered Catholic household in the diocese. Every year in October, the annual publications drive is held, asking households to donate $25 toward the cost of printing and distributing the newspaper.
