Saint Ann Catholic Church was established in 1921 and has been a beacon of light in Nashville, Tennessee for over one hundred years. For over a century, Saint Ann Parish has been firmly guided by the Holy Spirit and within the communion of the Catholic Church, continues to radiate the light of Christ by practicing compassion and serving those in need. Nestled in the heart of West Nashville, we serve not only those in our parish community but those in the greater community through various programs including but not limited to:

  • Our growing vibrant parish community, full of young families
  • Ministries and Apostolates offering deeper appreciation and support the various needs of the parish and community
  • Our long-standing, mutual-benefit relationship with St. George Parish in Haiti for over twenty years through the Parish Twinning Program
  • Our newly formed Saint Vincent de Paul Society supporting those in need in the community
  • Loaves and Fishes, providing meals to the homeless
  • Our accredited Saint Ann Catholic School that supports the integration of strong faith formation and academics with Catholic values.

Through the Parish Twinning Program, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, Saint Ann has been paired with Saint George Parish in Bassin-Bleu, Haiti. Since 1992, Saint Ann Parish has developed a long-standing, mutual-benefit relationship for over 20 years. Historically, Haiti has struggled to maintain financial stability due to the increasing rate and intensity of natural disasters and political unrests. Through our work, the Saint Ann Haiti Apostolate strives to help our Haitian sister parish and community in meeting their spiritual and material needs.

In Haiti, there's a village called Bassin Bleu which is home to our sister parish, St. George and five surrounding outreach mountain parishes. The funds that we receive from our church community help to support St. George’s endeavors to better help their community. Currently, the focus of the Haiti Apostolate is to contribute towards the financial and spiritual resources needed to build chapels around the Bassin-Bleu area and fund presbytery needs; however, the needs of the community in Bassin-Bleu also shift in response to political and economic upheavals and public health emergencies. In the past, we have shipped items ranging from hygiene products to a pick-up truck, in order to support the community of St. George.

Although we have been paired with St. George for many years, we want to continue strengthening our relationship with St. George, connecting our sister communities ever more closely. We have been lucky enough to have the former Parish priest of St. George, Fr. Chale, visit our church community in 2016. In the past, parishioners from St. Ann have also organized several trips to visit our sister parish. With the help of the Haiti Apostolate, a youth mission trip was conducted in 2017 to better build connections with St. George’s youth through a summer camp hosted at the parish center in Bassin-Bleu.

Join us in this year's iGiveCatholic campaign as we come together as a community to continue to help improve the lives of our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Over the past few years, our financial support has helped remote mountain parishes to install a roof and construct a chapel. Without our prayerful and financial support, none of this would have been possible. Together, we will continue to support our sister parish and do all that we can to provide our sister parishioners with a safe place to come together to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ. Please join us this Tuesday, December 2nd to give thanks to God but also to allow the gifts we have been blessed with to improve the lives of our sister parishioners.

God Bless You for your generosity.
