Saint Matthew's Catholic School

St. Matthew's Catholic School was founded in 1963 to serve as an integral part of the parish ministry in providing a Catholic education for students aged 2 through 8th grade. As a co-educational Catholic school operating under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond, we welcome students from all backgrounds. An academic journey at St. Matthews begins with a Christ-centered, Catholic environment that forms the foundation of learning for all students through spiritual, academic, and physical education.

Who We Are

St. Matthew’s Catholic School provides a Christ-centered, Catholic environment that forms a foundation of learning for all through spiritual, academic, and physical education. We are a co-educational Catholic school operating under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond. The school was founded in 1963 to serve as an integral part of the parish ministry in providing a Catholic education for students from 2 years of age through 8th grade. St. Matthew's welcomes students of all religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Our strength lies in the fact we keep our tuition low, which allows us to welcome a diverse student population. Our student body is also made up of 26% military families. Any child in the community has an opportunity to attend our school to experience a rigorous academic curriculum along with a comprehensive leadership and character-building program.

Give the Gift of a Catholic Education

This Giving Tuesday, St. Matthew’s Catholic School is asking for your support in making a Catholic education possible for every family who desires one for their child.

Tuition assistance provides a meaningful opportunity for families who may otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education. Your generosity helps remove financial barriers and allows students to experience a Christ-centered education where they are known, loved, and encouraged to grow in faith, character, and knowledge.

A gift to St. Matthew’s Catholic School is more than financial support, it is an investment in a child’s future and in the strength of our Catholic school community. Every gift, regardless of size, helps open the door to an education rooted in faith and academic excellence.

This Giving Tuesday, please consider helping a St. Matthew’s family experience the gift of Catholic education. Together, we can ensure that financial circumstances do not stand in the way of a family choosing a Catholic education for their child.

Give today. Change a life. Strengthen our Catholic community.

Thank you for helping us continue the mission of St. Matthew’s Catholic School: forming students in faith, knowledge, and service.
