St. Matthew's Catholic School was founded in 1963 to serve as an integral part of the parish ministry in providing a Catholic education for students aged 2 through 8th grade. As a co-educational Catholic school operating under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond, we welcome students from all backgrounds. We are a co-educational Catholic school operating under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond. The school was founded in 1963 to serve as an integral part of the parish ministry in providing a Catholic education for students from 2 years of age through 8th grade. St. Matthew's welcomes students of all religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Our strength lies in the fact we keep our tuition low, which allows us to welcome a diverse student population. Our student body is also made up of 26% military families. Any child in the community has an opportunity to attend our school to experience a rigorous academic curriculum along with a comprehensive leadership and character-building program.
