College is a crucial time in a young adult’s faith life, and during this time many choose to leave the Church. Skyhawk Catholic Campus Ministry exists to support students at the University of Tennessee at Martin in their Catholic faith, while also helping them find a group of like-minded people who encourage them to live, grow, and share the Catholic faith.

Importance of Young Adults in the Church
Young adults are the future of the church. They are our future priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers; they are the future Catholic parents raising their children in the faith. They are our parish volunteers—liturgical ministers, catechists, food pantry volunteers, community service volunteers. In this crucial time of their lives, we must support our Catholic students. Our world needs people formed in the faith and service of the Church.

Our Needs
Our Catholic Campus Ministry Newman Center opened across the street from UT Martin residence halls in August 2024. Students have already benefited in many ways from the Newman Center.

We are currently leasing the building that houses the Newman Center. We are raising money to buy the building, and we still need $150,000. We plan to raise money in phases, and this year's goal is $40,000.
