We actively strive to help fulfill the needs of the impoverished within the metropolitan New Orleans area and the surrounding communities; and have done so since 1852.
Through our Special Works, and over 30 conferences throughout the city, we are providing aid to the most vulnerable members of our community: by giving a hand up and not a handout.
Our dedicated volunteers, known as Vincentians, are the backbone of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, answering the call, providing not only financial help, but spiritual support as well. We live our faith by serving those in need, and we see the face of Christ in those we serve. We continue to carry out the mission of Frederic' Ozanam, who answered to call to help the poor nearly twenty decades ago in Paris, France.
Locally, we are proud to celebrate over 170 years of faith, fellowship and service.
