Ss. Francis & John Parish / St. John School

           

St. John Catholic School invites you to help us grow our intervention and enrichment services by supporting our iGiveCatholic Campaign this December 3rd.  Our goal is to raise at least $10,500 to support the program for this year.  With this money, we will be able to cover some payroll expenses to staff the program, purchase additional educational tools designed to improve student literacy and math competency, and provide training resources for our staff, expanding enrichment inside and outside the classroom.  We pray that you join us in making St. John School the best educational experience for the greatest number of students!

 

Our intervention program now has 2 full time teachers as we continue to invest resources to match the needs of the student population here at St. John Catholic School.  Mrs. Bilotta and Mrs. Gerardo work with our teachers and with our students daily to provide pathways to success and guidance along the way!  Student progress in reading and math is regularly monitored and assessed using multiple tools.

 

Our Academic Achievement Program began with a desire by Mrs. Bilotta and the staff to help the students at St. John School reach their potential.  In the early years, the program survived entirely on donations to support her salary and all the materials needed for the program!  In the intervening years, the program and its expenses became part of the budgeted operational costs of the school and were supplemented with generous donations and a few strategic grants.

 

To continue to reach our current student population it is imperative that we can add resources and funding to achieve our goals.  St. John Catholic School has always been a leader in Scott County when it comes to student achievement, high school readiness, and building the leaders of tomorrow.  Those student leaders are taught to live out their faith and seek to serve others.  Please join us as we work to build God’s Kingdom!
