St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church - McConchie

Thank you for visiting our #iGiveCatholic Giving Day page. Your gift to us allows us to care for and build up the body of Christ. We thank you for finding us and being willing to join us as you "Give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday!

This year, we are seeking to raise $3,000 to purchase two automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), one for our church and another for our hall.  During our annual insurance inspection, our insurance company strongly recommended that we have AEDs available to help our congregants in the event that they go into cardiac arrest.  Since the wellbeing of our parishioners and guests is of the utmost importance to us, we would like to have this lifesaving measure available in the event that it's needed.

Historic St. Catherine of Alexandria parish in McConchie, Maryland, was founded in 1911 to serve the Black Catholic community in the area, who faithfully traveled long distances to worship at the surrounding parishes prior to its founding.  Today, its people continue to worship God, share the Catholic faith, and serve the wider community, following in the footsteps of their forebears.
