Campus security and the safety of our Faculty & Students have been top priorities for our School & Parish over the last decade. We have implemented numerous upgrades to our campus infrastructure to ensure our students and teachers are as safe as possible during the school day:
Full time JPSO Security Officer
Security Cameras on Entire Campus
Single Point of Entry to Campus Buildings
All External Doors are locked and digitally fobbed
All Classroom Doors are locked and digitally fobbed (Thanks to 2024 #iGiveCatholic Donors)
Vistor scan & check in at Reception Desk
Impact Resistant glass on doors and windows
Internal locks and privacy curtains on classroom doors
RAVE Panic App in use by Faculty & Staff
Scheduled intruder and fire drills
The Final Phase of our Forward in Faith Capital Campaign is to convert the area currently housing the Parish Office & former Rectory into a 50 Space Parking Lot at the corner of Bonnabel Blvd. & Metairie Road. These new parking spaces will allow daily Mass goers and visitors to have dedicated parking without using the SCS school yard.
Currently, the school yard remains open while daily Mass is celebrated allowing visitors to park on the blacktop/school yard. A JPSO officer is posted at the Bonnabel gates to maintain safety until they can be closed after Mass concludes and all cars have vacated the blacktop.
With your generosity this new parking area is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2026. This project allows us to keep the entire blacktop available to our students for recess and PE including a secure campus perimeter throughout the 2026 - 2027 School Year.
Help us keep our students and faculty safe by helping to fund our new parking lot. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to complete our Forward in Faith Campaign allowing us to increase parking campuswide. We appreciate your help in securing our campus and keeping our students and faculty safe.
