THE GOAL OF OUR iGiveCatholic CAMPAIGN

Strengthening Safety at St. Charles Catholic

At St. Charles Catholic, the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors remains our top priority. Thanks to the incredible generosity shown during last year’s #iGiveCatholic campaign, we successfully installed keyless entry systems on all exterior doors across our campus and added an electronic security gate behind our gym. These updates have greatly enhanced the security and efficiency of our school environment.

This year, we are excited to continue our commitment to campus safety. Our next goals include:

  • Installing fencing along the back side of our campus to further secure our grounds.

  • Expanding our keyless entry system to include all exterior gates, ensuring consistent access control and peace of mind for our entire community.

Every #iGiveCatholic donation made this year will directly support these projects, helping us provide the safest and most secure environment possible for everyone who walks through our doors.

At St. Charles Catholic, we are proud to continuously improve our facilities each year — and with your help, we can take the next step in keeping our campus secure with the latest safety technology.

Together, we can make a lasting impact on the safety and well-being of our Comet family.

OUR SCHOOL YEAR THEME FOR 2025-2026

Our theme for this year is "Encourage one another, and build each other up." (1 Thessalonians 5:11) We all know the importance of encouragement, but unfortunately encouraging one another is easier said than done. Let's face it, we live in a culture of criticism, and the business of criticizing others is booming. You can find out what is "wrong" with anything and anyone with just a quick visit to any media outlet. While they didn't have the technology we have today, people in biblical times seemed to have the same struggle. In this passage, St. Paul is exhorting the Church in Thessalonica to remain aware of the times and seasons so as to not be surprised when the Lord returns, and that he will, in fact, return "like a thief in the night." (1 Thessalonians 5:2) He reminds them to remain awake and sober, to put on the armor of God, and he closes by saying, "Therefore, encourage one another, and build each other up just as you are already doing." These are strong words not to be taken lightly. Being quick to encourage and slow to criticize builds understanding and makes relationships strong. Encouragement builds trust and fosters teamwork. We cannot remain faithful to Christ on our own. We need encouragement, and that's what we are focussing on this year, and always. Amen.

OUR HISTORY

St. Charles Catholic High School was originally opened some 70 years ago to serve families of the River Parishes, and the tradition of a quality Catholic high school education continues today. The focus remains where it has always been – academic excellence coupled with civic responsibility and strong Christian values. A diverse student body currently attends St. Charles for its religious instruction, academics, athletics, and community involvement. Students come not only to nourish their minds but also to deepen their beliefs and strengthen their souls in preparation for becoming the leaders of tomorrow.  To learn more about SCC, please visit our website.
