St. Genevieve Catholic Church

     Many of us are looking for a place to slow down—a nature’s space on our church grounds where families or friends can gather and pray or converse, where anyone can take a few minutes to breathe or step out of their vehicles to stretch their legs while meditating. Our Marian Prayer Garden has been a place of solace for many years now. Still, as the years pass, I have concluded that it requires a thoughtful update to make it more inviting for everyday parish life and for anyone who desires to find a quiet space of refuge during a busy day.

     Our parish iGiveCatholic campaign this year is all about renewing this sacred space so that it becomes a genuine space of prayer for everyone. We are hoping to replace the worn Stations of the Cross (memorial plates will also be replaced), add warm evening lighting so the garden can be visited after sunset, and expand seating for those who come to reflect, rest, or be still.

     Every gift, large or small, is an investment in the faith lives of our families, friends, and parish community. Together, we can create a space where peace is not only possible, but also present.
