At St. Joe, everything we do starts with the child.

We want our students to feel supported, challenged, and cared for—academically, socially, and spiritually. When we looked at areas that would make the biggest difference in their day-to-day experience, two needs rose to the top. Those are the focus of this year’s iGiveCatholic campaign.

 

Promethean Boards for Grades 1–5

At St. Joe, we believe technology should support learning — not replace it. Promethean Boards give teachers the ability to model concepts clearly, display visuals that strengthen understanding, and adjust lessons in real time based on student needs. They allow us to differentiate instruction, engage students who learn best through movement, visuals, or hands-on activities, and connect classroom learning with the world around them. These boards are not about more screen time; they are about using the right tools at the right moments to enhance strong teaching and deepen student learning.

 

Elementary Playground Refresh

Our playground is used daily by our youngest students, and it needs attention to remain safe and functional. The current underlayment is worn, weeds break through, and the surface no longer provides the level of cushioning it should. Fresh underlayment and mulch will ensure that the playground remains a safe, reliable space where children can move, play, and take healthy breaks throughout the school day. This is routine upkeep and child safety — essential, simple, and necessary.

 

Our goal is $46,000.

It is a significant goal, but our St. Joe family extends far beyond our current enrollment. It includes alumni, grandparents, parishioners, former families, and community friends who believe in our mission and want our students to thrive.
