St. Joseph Parish (Hays)

Thank you for visiting our #iGiveCatholic Giving Day page. St. Joseph Parish was established in 1878 and is the oldest Catholic Church in Hays, Kansas. Maintaining the church, including our iconic stained-glass windows, and this piece of history is important to the parish. Mission:

Under the protection of St. Joseph, and ever grateful to the Capuchin Franciscan Friars, we strive to foster a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, worship and the celebration of the Sacraments. We are dedicated to love and care of all God's people in their physical, educational and spiritual needs through the stewardship of time, talent and treasure

Here are some of the ministries of St. Joseph Parish:

1. St. Joseph Food Pantry & Diaper Closet opened its doors in January of 2001 and provides food and diaper support to those in our county who need assistance.  It is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month, from 9 AM - Noon. 2. St. Joseph & St. Michael the Archangel Cemeteries in Hays are managed and operated by St. Joseph Parish. To learn more visit the Cemeteries page on our website.

All donations raised during the advanced giving November 18 to December 1, or on Giving Day December 2, will go to St. Joseph Parish to benefit the general operating fund, which includes repairs and maintenance of the building and grounds, parish programs, and other operating expenses, all of which benefit you, our parishioners, those who utilize our services, and the faithful who attend our daily and weekend Masses.

The goal of this day is to rally our Catholic Community in support of the organizations that shape our souls. We appreciate your support of our parish by making your donation stretch further with the match during this year's #iGiveCatholic Campaign. With the help of several anonymous donors, we have $7,500 in matching funds available, so your donations could be matched dollar-for-dollar. Your gift to us transforms our ministry and builds the body of Christ.
