This Giving Tuesday, St. Luke Catholic Church is asking for your help to raise **$15200** for two essential needs that will improve our parish: a **lawnmower** and a **security system**. These practical investments will help us care for our church grounds and keep our parishioners, visitors, pastor, and staff safe.

Why These Goals Matter.

 **1. Lawn Care for Our Parish Grounds**

Our first priority is to raise funds to purchase a **lawnmower** for our parish. For years, we have been blessed by the generosity of a parishioner who has shared their own lawnmower to maintain our grounds. However, it’s time for St. Luke’s to have its own equipment to consistently care for our beautiful property.

Keeping the parish grounds well-maintained is essential for:

- Providing a welcoming, clean, and safe space for our parishioners and visitors.

- Ensuring our property reflects the pride and care we take in our faith community.

Who We Are

St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church was established in 1923. St. Luke, the only predominately African-American Catholic Church in Thibodaux was closed from 1967-1985 and re-established in the fall of 1985. Today, St. Luke is a vital, growing faith community working to address the poverty and illiteracy readily seen in our communities. St. Luke's mission is forming disciples, evangelizing and serving the African-American community and others.
