St. Mark Church

St. Mark Catholic Church in the tiny town of Ama, LA has been welcoming faithful parishioners and visitors for over 51 years. Our small church’s doors have been open to old and young alike but unfortunately is lacking only one thing: a restroom, which is a necessity--not a luxury. We hold daily masses, weekend masses, funerals, weddings, baptisms and other sacraments, which at times fill our church pews to capacity. Not having a restroom makes all these events challenging for our parishioners and visitors to attend. We painfully realize it is difficult to accommodate parents with young children, as well as our elderly parishioners who have extenuating health issues requiring restroom facilities who make the ultimate sacrifice of missing mass and other events. We want to fulfill the needs of all our parishioners and visitors, so everyone can attend our services and celebrations in our church without the burden of not having a restroom.

With the unity and spirit of our great parishioners, we are excited to be raising money for a restroom. With your donations and prayers, we feel adding a restroom can and will be a reality for our beloved parish and will only help us grow!
