St. Martha Catholic Church

St. Martha Catholic Church in Prestonsburg, KY helps individuals in our community through our Outreach Programs.

The Outreach Programs include: Giving Bags Program, Diaper Program, and Martha's Portion Referral Program.  

Our Giving Bags Program includes items that can not be bought with Food Stamps.  The items currently include: laundry soap, dish soap, bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, denture cream and cleaner, bleach, liquid and powder cleaner, garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper.  These items can be requested by school resource centers, case workers, doctors offices, and some churches.

Our Diaper Program works with our Local Health  Department HANDS Program.  We provide the HANDS Program 15 vouchers a month for packages of diapers and baby wipes.  Which they give to their clients to bring into Martha's Portion to pick up the diapers in the size that they need for their child.

Martha's Portion Referral Program accepts Referral Letters for Free clothing and household items.  Martha's Portion is St. Martha's Used Clothing and Household items Store. People who may use the Referral Letters include people from the local homeless shelters, rehabilitation programs, domestic abuse shelters, school resource centers, case workers, doctors offices, and some churches.  With the Referral Letters, people can receive clothing and household items that they may need for day to day living.  All items in Martha's Portion are donated, so we may not always have the exact size or quantity that they need or want, but we help the best that we can.  

With your help, we will be able to continue with these Outreach Programs and maybe expand on each program, as well as, add Utility Assistance.
