St. Mary Catholic Church (Nebraska City)

As disciples of Christ and faithful stewards, we are called to seek opportunities to share our blessings willingly and lovingly.  During Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving, you are invited to support St. Mary Catholic Cemetery by helping to fund necessary repairs.

Established in 1886, St. Mary Cemetery holds over 1200 burials.  For the past two years funds have been set aside to make repairs to memorial stones in the older part of the cemetery.  Many of these stones have sunk and/or are tilted and no longer have families to see to their upkeep.

Plans are also being made to clean and repair the large crucifix situated in the center of the cemetery. 

We hope you will join us in celebration on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.  Can't wait until then? You are in luck!  From April 20 - May 6, you will be able to donate and have it count toward the Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving goal.

Established in 1870, St. Mary Catholic Church, one of the oldest in the state of Nebraska, provides a welcoming worship space for all who live in Nebraska City and the surrounding areas.  

How to support St. Mary Church during the Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving:

• Donate online from April 20 – May 6
• Mail a check made out to St. Mary Catholic Church with “Giving Day” in the memo line any time before May 1 (218 N. 6th St., Nebraska City, NE 68410)
