Courtyard of Fellowship- A Sacred Space for Learning and Community

At St. Mary’s Nativity School, faith and fellowship are the cornerstones of our mission. As a community rooted down by the bayou, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls—it blossoms where faith, nature, and community come together.

This year, our iGiveCatholic campaign seeks to bring to life our vision for a Courtyard of Fellowship—a dedicated outdoor learning and gathering space designed to nurture both minds and hearts. The courtyard will provide students, families, and parishioners with a beautiful, functional area to gather in faith, study, and celebration.

Through the generosity of supporters at the Catholic Foundations St. Joseph Dinner Impact Table, we have already received full funding for five powder-coated steel picnic tables that will anchor this new space. These tables represent the first step in transforming our vision into reality.

Now, we are seeking to raise funds to pour a finished cement foundation that will serve as the base for this multi-purpose courtyard. The addition of the foundation will ensure a safe, durable, and accessible surface suitable for:

• Outdoor classroom lessons and small group instruction

• Faith Family gatherings, student prayer circles, and virtue reflections

• Community events and family fellowship days

• Lunch and study breaks surrounded by God’s creation

The Courtyard of Fellowship will be more than a physical structure—it will be a place where our Catholic identity is lived daily; where students can pray beneath the open sky, teachers can inspire through creative lessons, and families can share in joyful moments together.
