St. Michael Catholic Church (Levelland, TX)

THIS YEAR'S APPEAL

For the past two years, our focus with funding from faithful parishioners has been to upgrade classrooms in the Parish Religious Education Center many refer to as St. Michael School. This year, we are seeking donations to upgrade and replace a portion of the visual projection system in St. Michael Church. The current system was installed in 2012 when the Sanctuary and Church underwent renovations. The projector equipment used to present Mass prayers, music and announcements is now obsolete. Projector images are dim and difficult to see from the back of the church. Feedback from parishioners indicates it's time to replace this equipment with new technology. The Church encourages full participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and when visual aids and systems are not functioning to their best, this desire falls short. We hope you will give prayerful consideration to supporting this improvement for our worship services and Church. 

LAST YEAR'S PROJECT AND IMPACT

Through the generosity of those who gave to #iGiveCatholic last year, we were able to replace out-dated classroom furniture in our Religious Education Center. Some classrooms had old single-student desks that are undersized. Others made use of metal folding chairs (from the Parish Hall) that were mismatched. With #iGiveCatholic donations, the outdated furniture in four classrooms was replaced with 88 modern student classroom chairs paired with two-student desks that we already had. Classrooms for CCE and youth religious education programs are now comfortable and modern learning spaces. We are very appreciative of those who have participated in the #iGiveCatholic campaigns the past two years.
