It is Rosebud Academy Preschool's 10th year! We want to honor this milestone with the construction of the best kind of outdoor classroom for preschoolers...an inclusive playground!

This year on Giving Tuesday 2025 we are kicking off a larger campaign to raise  $100,000 for a new sensory playground at our preschool, Rosebud Academy! Since Rosebud Academy opened its doors 10 years ago, we have had nice, but pieced-together playground equipment. Hoping to raise the funds to build a more cohesive, inclusive, and durable playground / outdoor classroom with the proper surfacing that will last many many years. We hope to raise the first $10,000 on Giving Tuesday.

Playgrounds are more than just places to burn off energy—they are vibrant classrooms where children learn through every climb, swing, and slide. As kids explore a playground, they develop essential motor skills, strengthen social bonds, practice problem-solving, build confidence, and spark creativity. From collaborating on the swings to navigating new challenges on the climbing structures, play gives children the opportunity to grow in ways that support their academic, emotional, and physical development. By supporting our playground fundraiser, you’re helping create a space where learning comes naturally—and joyfully—for every child.

- Slides teach the small courage of letting go.- Swings teach timing, arcs, balance, physics and patience.- See-Saws teach balance, cooperation, and negotiation- Merry go-Rounds teach about group play and how momentum has consequences.- Climbers like arches, nets, and ladders transform challenge into acheivement-Castles, tunnels and rockets turn equipment into stories and imaginative play-Ramps, broad platforms,and sensory panels broaden participation and allow children of all abilities the opportunity to play together.
