Founded in 2016, St. Teresa Center for the Works of Mercy (STC) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to performing and fostering the corporal and spiritual works of mercy in the spirit of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.  We are inspired and driven by the words of Jesus in the Gospel:

“Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me” (Mt. 25: 34-36).

St. Teresa Center for the Works of Mercy is directed by Fr. Michael Champagne of the Community of Jesus Crucified and a Board of Directors.  STC takes care of over 450 families and engages about 120 volunteers from the area. It’s charitable works include a food pantry, soup kitchen, sober living house for men (Guadalupe Sober Living House), a safe house for women (John Paul II House), Oratory Don Bosco youth center for at-risk kids, Bonne Mort Society to assist in providing free burial and services for the dead, Camp Good Shepherd for at-risk youth recreation, Mother Drexel Wellness Center for health screening, Mercy House residence for at-risk girls, Mother Teresa Garden, and St. Joseph the Worker program which provides handyman services pro-bono for the poor of the area and repairs appliances to re-purpose them for the needy.
