St. Thomas Aquinas was founded in 1970 to serve the students, faculty, and staff of Nicholls State University. Over the years, our parish has been blessed by all of those that have been involved in its evolution–our priests, nuns, campus ministers, students, families, and the general congregation.

We are seeking assistance to create an awesome outdoor space for the Colonel Catholics in a two phase project.  It is hoped that we are able to achieve funding through iGive Catholic 2025 campaign for Phase I.  Our goal is $160,000.

Improvements will be made to the West side of current facilities that mimic the East side of current facilities (round brick/cement seating walkway areas), while incorporating softness from the Stations of the Cross garden (plants, walkways, wood elements) to enhance our Colonel Catholics' experiences.  The design includes installation and upgrades to walkways, seating/gathering areas, lighting, landscape and canopies.  

If project funding goals are met, it is hoped to break ground in May 2026 so that the new and improved back patio area can be utilized when students come back to school Fall 2026.  Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
