St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church was founded in 1970 
to serve the students, faculty, and staff of Nicholls State University. 
Over the years, our parish has been blessed by all of those that have been involved in its evolution
–our priests, nuns, campus ministers, students, families, and the general congregation.

Here at St Thomas Aquinas, we are no strangers to storms and we know what it means to come together.

Hurricanes. Flooding. Lightning strikes. Unexpected emergencies.

Living and serving in South Louisiana means we have learned how quickly circumstances can change
-and how our community comes together when they do.

As we reflect on the five years since Hurricane Ida, 
we are reminded of just how far many parishes in our Diocese have come.  
Although we had minor damages at St. Thomas Aquinas, we are prudently planning 
for the possibility of future storm damage which could include: 
roof or floor replacement, equipment repair, church restoration, rectory refurbish, etc.  
Now, it is time to look forward as we have an opportunity to build on that progress.
