This year, we are raising funds to complete the renovation of the basement of the church into a transitional shelter for homeless men. Funds raised to date have allowed us to tear out old office space and renovate the showers and restrooms into clean, safe, attractive spaces. We are approaching the final phase of the renovation—finishing and painting the walls, laying a durable floor, replacing industrial tube lighting with “human-scale” lights, repairing old, leaky windows, and furnishing beds, nightstands, and a “family room” for socializing and meetings. Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis contributed the seed money to accomplish the initial renovations. Now, we hope to raise enough to finish the space. Then, together with an experienced provider of homeless services,          Sts. Peter & Paul will again become a Sanctuary in Soulard for homeless men who are willing to work toward independence.

All gifts made to Sts. Peter and Paul of Soulard on December 2 or during the Advanced Giving Day phase running from November 17 through December 2 either online or offline (through a gift of cash or check directly to our organization), will increase our ability to make a difference. Please help us reach our fundraising goal during this year's #iGiveCatholic campaign! May our generous God continue to bless you and those you love this holiday season in a special way.
