Thank you for joining us for our 2025 #iGiveCatholic giving day! We continue our journey in supporting Fr. Faublas and our twinning parish, Sacre Coeur in Hinche, Haiti. This year is $50,000, we also want to surpass the number of donors.  

 

Spiritual and Corporal works of mercy continue to be at the heart of our parish twinning relationship.  St. Monica and The Haiti Twinning Team works passionately sharing the faith, love and generosity of the parishioners of Saint Monica Catholic Church with Sacre Coeur. Because this team is comprised completely of volunteers, there are no administration costs to our Haiti ministry and 100% of the dollars you give serve the needs of Sacre Coeur. The #iGiveCatholic giving day is one of two major fundraisers to meet the annual Haiti Mission budget of $170,000.

Who We Are

We, the Eucharistic community of Saint Monica, guided by the Holy Spirit and nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ, embrace our mission to continue the work of Jesus. We devote our God-given talents, precious time, and earthly treasure to love and serve all people. We commit ourselves to live our faith in Word of God through prayer, evangelization and outreach.

Imagine waking up with the sunrise to start your day not because you are going to work but because you have no electricity and the sun is your source of light. You walk to the local well of unclean water because you have no running water in your home and you must have water to begin your day. You are not sure how you will feed your children today and you are worried that if you or they become ill you will have to beg for help at the local decrepit hospital. This is the condition of many of the parishioners of the Parish of Sacre Coeur that you can help. These conditions are the exact reason why the Haiti Twinning Team of doctors, priests and lay parishioners have been moved to action for our sister parish. When you see the suffering your heart is forever changed.

Through your #iGiveCatholic donation this year you will continue to help relieve the stresses of the daily life of the poorest of the poor. Your donations provide Father Faublas the ability to identify the families in critical need and deliver food and other aid to them. Your donations provide a place of refuge for medical care. Your donations are the only provisions filling the gap between life and death for so many children, adults and babies.

In the face of so much misery there is striking evidence of the workings of the Holy Spirit. Father Faublas and the clinic staff are so joyful in our interactions with us. They and the parishioners pray for us constantly. They are living examples of the radiance of Christ to the community they serve through your generosity.
