Ursuline Academy of New Orleans, founded in 1727, is the first all-girls Catholic school in the United States. Educating boys 6 weeks through Pre-K and girls 6 weeks through 12th grade, the Academy offers a diverse educational environment on its historic 11.5-acre campus. The Academy is part of a network of Ursuline schools around the world sharing the Ursuline Core Values and Mission. We prepare confident and compassionate leaders for a diverse global society through Catholic spiritual formation, academic excellence, and a life-long commitment to Serviam: I will serve.

At the heart of Ursuline education is the Gospel call to be peacemakers and to answer the living spirit of St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters. Ursuline education is relationship-centered and respects the uniqueness of the individual. In the words of St. Angela and with service as our call, our girls know that they “have more need to serve others, than they have to be served.” Our Code of Belonging demands that we create a culture of respectful relationships where all are welcomed.
