A little about us:

The Vermilion Women's Resource Center is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on providing essential support, resources, and services to women and children in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. Nestled in the heart of Cajun Country, our center was founded by a passionate group of women who recognized the power of community and the strength that comes from helping others. Through their vision and faith, we've created a place where women and children find the support they need to overcome life's challenges.

As a volunteer-run organization that relies on donations, we are able to offer a wide range of services that make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. Whether it’s connecting women with life-saving services like Faith House or helping them access workforce opportunities through the Acadiana Workforce Commission, our goal is always to provide personalized assistance based on each woman's unique needs.

We offer tangible resources such as baby formula, emergency food supplies, and even car seats for infants and children in need. Through our partnership with UniteUs, we are able to connect clients with additional services, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone.

In addition to immediate support, we are proud to help women build brighter futures by offering opportunities to earn their HiSET (GED) through VITA and SoLACC, as well as life skills and parenting classes through BrightCourse. These programs are designed to empower women with the tools they need to succeed in life, achieve their goals, and create better futures for themselves and their families.
