Today's Church is in great need of priests who will guide communities of faith, providing direction and hope. Will you support the Catholic Diocese of Lexington's mission to form the next generation of Catholic priests?
Your generosity will help the men featured on this page and those that come after them to respond to God's call for their lives. Each, will have an incalculable influence on those served by the Church here in central and eastern Kentucky.
In times of joy and sorrow, people rely on the Church for comfort, support and reassurance. A priest is present at the most important moments of a person's life from baptism to illness and from weddings to funerals.
But we cannot do any of this without your support. By offering our prayers for our seminarians, joined with our monetary support, we proclaim our love for them and their families, while also reminding ourselves of the importance of fostering this vocation within our own parishes.
Each diocese pays 100% of the costs associated with a seminarian's formation, education, room and board. This amounts to $65,000 each per year of the seminary to give these men the full training they need to follow their calling to be priests. Their commitment leaves our seminarians unable to seek employment. By supporting our seminarians, they have the freedom to follow God's will without asking, "Can I afford it?"
You can help prepare men to lead our local Church here in Kentucky with a humble confidence grounded in a deep relationship with Christ. Together we can form a generation of priests who preach our Lord's gospel to a new world where the message of Christ's love for us is so desperately needed.
Please pray for our local seminarians and for more men to hear the call of our Lord to lead His people.
We are grateful for your generosity.
