Our Story: Winthrop Newman Catholic Community (https://winthropnewman.wixsite.com/newman) is the official Catholic Campus Ministry at Winthrop University. 
Supported by both the Diocese of Charleston and The Rock Hill Oratory, students at Winthrop have a unique experience of God while studying at a small, public university in South Carolina. 

We plan to use the money raised from this year's #iGiveCatholic campaign to do the following: provide students with food at weekly meetings and after Mass. It will also help us pay a small stipend to a guest speaker for our Wednesday Emmaus Nights. Finally the money will be used for fun and faith-filled off-campus events like attending the Eucharistic Congress in Charlotte, bowling, visiting Belmont Abbey College, sending students on retreats and mission experiences.
