#iGiveCatholic Disbursement Policy

How and When You Receive your Raised Funds!

#iGiveCatholic will send monthly Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) to all organizations who collect online donations through www.igivecatholic.org

Organizations MUST enter checking or savings account information in their #iGiveCatholic dashboard in Settings/Disbursement Settings to be included in EFT disbursements.

#iGiveCatholic is unable to cut and mail checks as an alternative.

If an organization has previously entered bank information into a Mightycause dashboard for another giving day, they will have to authorize #iGiveCatholic to access that information. If that is the case, they will see the following in their Disbursement Settings area:

Organizations who have entered bank information and/or authorized #iGiveCatholic to access their bank information will receive their disbursement of total donations collected minus fees not covered by donors on or around the 10th of the month for the donation activity of the previous calendar month. CLICK HERE to read more about fees assessed on online donations.

Organization admins can download a detailed report on what was included in your disbursement each month through your dashboard. Just go to Donations, select the Custom Date Range that was included in your ACH details (i.e. Nov 1 - Dec 9, 2025 for GivingTuesday campaign, Dec 10 - 31, 2025 for January disbursement or Jan 1 - 31, 2026 for February, etc.), select #iGiveCatholic in Payment Processor, then click the "Download" cloud icon in the center of the page.

The #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday campaign has the following exceptions to these policies:

  • All donations collected November 1 through one week after GivingTuesday will be disbursed between December 18 and Christmas.
  • The precise cutoff for campaign donations included in this disbursement was December 10 at 6:00 AM Eastern time to include the entire December 9 for all American time zones including Hawaii.
  • Some giving day hosts collect donations on behalf of their participating organizations and will distribute them locally at a later date. For the 2025 campaign, this is true for the following communities:

Archdiocese of San Juan
Archdiocese of Miami
Diocese of Alexandria
Diocese of Arecibo
Diocese of Austin
Diocese of Fajardo-Humacao
Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux
Diocese of Jackson
Diocese of Kalamazoo
Diocese of Lafayette
Diocese of Mayaguez
Diocese of Memphis
Diocese of Monterey
Diocese of Nashville
Diocese of Reno
Diocese of Salina
Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau
Diocese of St. Augustine
Diocese of Toledo
The Pontifical Mission Societies

  • To find out when you should expect donation disbursement from one of the communities above, click the diocese name and contact the administrator listed on the page.
  • This centralized collection will ONLY occur for the giving day. Any organizations who receive donations outside of the GivingTuesday giving period will have to enter bank information in Disbursement Settings to receive disbursements in any other months of the year.
