Hello! My name is Sophia Lubeck, and I am a senior studying Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina. St. Thomas More has brought me a joy and connection to the Lord that I never could have imagined. From retreats, Sunday Suppers, campus ministry events, a wonderful mission trip to Brazil, and constant access to the sacraments, I couldn’t have asked for a better college life. I have had the pleasure of serving on our STM leadership team and began leading a Bible study my sophomore year. All of these experiences have been made possible by the donations and support from fundraisers like #IGiveCatholic. Being able to spend my days with other students who call me higher has taught me the beauty of the human person. There is nothing better than a community that sets us up for living out our faith in the real world, and I don’t know who I would be without it.
