OPEN HEARTS: SECURE DOORS.

The St. Martha Parish, School and Sports ministry Security Campaign

Our doors have always opened to welcome others. For more than 60 years, St. Martha has been a place where people come together to worship, learn, play, serve, celebrate, and grow in faith. Generations of families have passed through these doors, and today our parish, school, and sports ministries continue that tradition of hospitality.

But welcoming others also carries with it a responsibility to care for those entrusted to us.

Many of our facilities are still secured by traditional locks and keys, a system that dates back to the earliest years of our community. Over the decades, keys have been issued to parishioners, employees, coaches, volunteers, ministry leaders, and others who have needed access to our buildings. Traditional keys serve a purpose, but they provide limited ability to manage who has access to our facilities as needs and responsibilities change.

It is time to bring the security of our buildings into the 21st century.

Through the Open Hearts. Secure Doors. campaign, St. Martha is seeking to install a modern electronic key-fob access system throughout our parish, school, and sports ministry facilities.

A key-fob system will allow St. Martha to better manage access to our buildings while making entry more convenient for the people who legitimately need it. Rather than relying upon physical keys, authorized individuals can receive electronic access appropriate to their responsibilities. If access is no longer needed, a fob can be deactivated without replacing locks or collecting keys.

Most importantly, this investment is about more than doors, locks, or technology.

It is about people.

It is about the children who come to St. Martha each morning to learn.

It is about the athletes who practice and compete in our facilities.

It is about our teachers and staff who dedicate themselves to serving our children.

It is about our clergy, parishioners, ministry leaders, volunteers, families, and visitors who make St. Martha the vibrant faith community it is today.

We want St. Martha to remain what it has always been: a place where everyone is welcomed with an open heart. At the same time, we have a responsibility to be good stewards of our facilities and to take reasonable steps to protect the people who gather within them.

That's why our campaign has a simple message:

Open Hearts. Secure Doors.

We invite every member of the St. Martha community to help us make this important investment in our parish's future. Whether your connection to St. Martha is through the church, school, athletics, or all three, your gift can help provide the key to a safer St. Martha.

Together, we can preserve the welcoming spirit that has defined our community for more than six decades while providing modern, responsible security for the generations that will follow.

Please consider making a gift to the St. Martha Parish, School & Sports Ministry Security Campaign.

Open Hearts. Secure Doors.

Protecting our children. Protecting our parish. Protecting what we love.
