In memory of our loved ones, this fundraiser supports Red Bird Ministries’ Sibling Loss Services a vital program within the Red Bird Community App that helps grieving children find hope, healing, and connection after the loss of a sibling. Families receive compassionate, age‑appropriate resources and guidance from trained professionals and child life specialists, ensuring parents are supported as they care for their surviving children. Funds raised will provide families with a full year of subscription‑based support, helping them heal and soar together.

In remembrance, we share our journey:
My name is Lisa Yao, my husband's name is Michael Yao, and our child's name is Nancy Naomi Yao. I found out I was pregnant on February 7, 2023, and I was eager to tell my entire family. Only two weeks later, on Ash Wednesday, I found out that I had already lost the baby. I was never given much closure as to how or why it happened, and even to this day I'm still struggling with this reality, but this past August, I saw a church that I briefly went to was advertising a retreat in Emmitsburg with Red Bird Ministries, and let me tell you, that retreat changed my life. For so long, I felt like I was the only person who understood what I was going through, and I also felt like I had to be this perfect victim who was able to still have the same joy and trust in God that I did before, but everyone at the retreat was just so real and honest, and I found myself relating to other mothers whose experiences were very different from mine. It also gave me a group of women that I could truly call my friends even afterwards.
