Exploring God's World With Ms. Quin

My personal academic journey began at St. Martin de Porres Catholic School. At SMDP I was given the opportunity to ask questions and discover answers. It was here that I gained my zeal for learning and my love of science. I was provided with opportunities that allowed me to participate in dissections, field studies, and experiments beyond my wildest imagination. I have been blessed to be tasked with the responsibility of providing the same opportunities to our current students. It is my job to ignite the fire of learning in our students. Our students are fortunate to be a part of a community that fosters not only academic growth, but spiritual growth as well.  SMDP set the foundation for continued successes in my educational journey. That is what we are setting out to do with our current students. Learning is more than sitting in a classroom. Learning is providing students with experiences that will expand their knowledge through hands-on activities, community resources, field studies, and experiences. The activities that I plan for our students coincide with diocesan standards (Science, math, and social studies), this provides students with the opportunity to connect lessons with the Word of God.

This year our theme is “Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things”.  This theme reflects Psalms 34:3, “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”  This verse serves as an invitation for parents, family, and friends to join us in our exploration of God’s world, praise and glorifying God, and appreciation of His greatness!

We have set out on a journey to teach our students about the greatness of God, and there is no better way to do that than to provide them with opportunities for them to see for themselves!
